A More Conscious Way to Summer

At BeachCult, we believe the spirit of summer should never come at the expense of the Earth. Every collection is thoughtfully designed and ethically produced in Cape Town, where craftsmanship, responsible materials, and timeless design come together in harmony.

From artist-designed prints and carefully selected fabrics to local production and mindful manufacturing, every decision is made with intention. We create pieces to be worn, treasured, and returned to season after season, because beautiful fashion should honour both the people who make it and the places that inspire it.

Conscious from Sketch to Stitch

Sustainability isn't one decision. It's hundreds of thoughtful choices made along the way. By designing and producing every BeachCult garment entirely in South Africa, we're able to stay closely connected to every stage of the process, from the first sketch to the final stitch.

Working with our in-house team alongside a trusted network of small, female-run CMTs and independent artisans allows us to manufacture in considered quantities, support local craftsmanship, and maintain complete transparency throughout our supply chain. It's a slower, more intentional approach to fashion - one that values quality, longevity, and community over excess.

Fashion Starts with Better Fabrics

The materials we choose are one of the most important decisions we make. We carefully source fabrics that balance exceptional quality with a lower environmental impact, selecting fibres that feel beautiful to wear while supporting a more responsible future for fashion.

From innovative regenerated swim fabrics to natural fibres and certified viscose, every textile is chosen with longevity, performance, and purpose in mind.

Lenzing™ EcoVero™

Our signature resort pieces feature LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose, an innovative fibre derived from certified renewable wood sources.

Compared to conventional viscose, ECOVERO™ is produced using significantly less water and lower carbon emissions, while remaining beautifully soft, breathable, and biodegradable at the end of its life.

It's luxury with a lighter footprint.

Natural Fibres

Selected pieces are crafted from premium fabrics certified to recognised standards such as Better Cotton and OEKO-TEX®.

Our European flax linen and silk blends are chosen for their quality, breathability, and durability. Designed to soften beautifully with wear, they offer enduring elegance, becoming favourites you'll always reach.

Naturally designed to be worn and loved for years.

Recycled Italian Swim Fabric

Our swimwear is crafted from premium Italian techno-fabric made using regenerated nylon created from pre- and post-consumer waste, including discarded plastics.

The result is a luxurious performance fabric offering: four-way stretch, UV protection, chlorine resistance, shape retention, exceptional durability.

Beautiful swimwear that performs in the ocean while helping protect it.

Thoughtfully Made, Beyond the Garment.

Creating consciously extends far beyond the fabrics we choose. From the way we manufacture and package our collections to the partnerships we nurture and the initiatives we support, we're continually looking for ways to reduce our impact while creating a positive one.

Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we're committed to improving every step along the way.

Small Batch Production

Every collection is produced in carefully considered quantities to minimise overproduction and unnecessary waste. Wherever possible, we optimise every metre of fabric, embracing thoughtful production over excess.

Thoughtful Packaging

We use recyclable, biodegradable, and reusable packaging wherever possible, with many orders arriving in locally made cotton tote bags designed to be enjoyed long after they've been unwrapped.

Green Friday

Each year we celebrate Green Friday in partnership with Greenpop, supporting indigenous tree planting and environmental restoration. Every purchase contributes to a healthier future for our planet.

Transparency

Producing entirely within South Africa allows us to know exactly where our garments are made, who makes them, and how they're created. We believe transparency is essential to building fashion that's as honest as it is beautiful.
