Two iconic Cape Tonian brands team up to deliver this Summer's must-have pieces of swim and resort wear. BeachCult, known for their authentic and unusual pieces with the "perfect fits" approached Cara Saven Wall Design, known for their beautiful and often tropical-inspired wallpapers. This has resulted in a collection that is layered with design elements you'd expect if Italy and Miami had a baby. It's luscious and comes in 3 colour ways, all of which can be mixed and matched. The collection evokes a garden of Eden paradise and lifts the mood with bright colours to bring a sense of joy back to what will be our first uninterrupted summer since the pandemic.

 

Both self-proclaimed Sun worshippers, the owners of the 2 brands, Joanna Hedley and Cara Saven, said they had the best time working on something that came rather easily to both of them.

 

Tell us a bit about how you came to make your final decision?

"We just seemed to be on the same page from the beginning, " said Hedley. Saven adds "Joanna and I work very similarly in that we don't overthink things. We have a vision, we hit it and we move forward."

 

What did you want to achieve with this collection?

Our aim was to provide a seamless and sensational summer wardrobe, suitable for everything from a beach day to an evening event. And every piece is perfect for a long lazy lunch!

 

What to look out for in this new collection?

Our new favourite silhouettes such as the Apollo kimono paired with matching slim-leg Corsica trousers, and the Venus dress.

 

All the pieces are produced sustainably in small batches by different artisans and are all produced in South Africa.
