Leanne Hawkins

There’s an art to travelling well. Knowing when to wander, when to linger, and when to leave a little room for the unexpected. For entrepreneur and style muse Leanne Hawkins, that art has never been about collecting destinations. It's about the people, the food, the light on old stone, and everything that happens between the places on the map.

An avid traveller with a deep curiosity for the world, Leanne recently spent a month moving through Italy, from the landscapes of Tuscany and the streets of Rome to the turquoise waters of Sardinia, the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Portofino, Lake Como and, finally, Milan.

If she had to sum up the trip in three words? “Dolce far niente”.

A Month Under the Italian Sun

{"type"=>"root", "children"=>[{"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"The itinerary was as varied as Italy itself. There were slow days in Tuscany, evenings wandering Rome, boat trips through Sardinia and long lunches overlooking the water. Capri marked her 30th birthday, while Lake Como brought classic wooden boats and sunset cruises beneath the stars."}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"But it was rarely the planned moments that were the most memorable. Artists painting in the piazzas. A conversation with a taxi driver that turned into something more. A musician appearing around a corner. One evening, a stranger at a hotel piano playing "}, {"type"=>"text", "value"=>"Another Love", "italic"=>true}, {"type"=>"text", "value"=>" by Tom Odell - "}, {"type"=>"text", "value"=>""the most beautiful version I have ever heard."", "italic"=>true}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"For Leanne, these are the moments that make a journey. The things you couldn't have planned for, but somehow know you'll remember forever."}]}]}

Dressing for the Journey

{"type"=>"root", "children"=>[{"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"Every Sun Chaser has the pieces that become part of their trip. "}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"The Moonflower Valencia Dress was an immediate standout - lilac, soft yellow, warm gold and ivory in a silhouette that needed almost nothing else. "}, {"type"=>"text", "value"=>""I'd keep everything simple,"", "italic"=>true}, {"type"=>"text", "value"=>" Leanne says: handmade leather sandals, delicate gold jewellery, and her favourite frameless rose-gold sunglasses were enough to carry it from afternoon sun into evening."}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"The Wildflower Barcelona Dress brought a different mood entirely, while the Ava Set became a quiet suitcase staple - each with its own personality, but sharing the effortlessness that makes BeachCult pieces work so well on the road."}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"The Blanca Positano Pants earned their place too, styled with bikini tops and linen overshirts by day, silk shirts and mules by night. "}, {"type"=>"text", "value"=>""They became my ultimate summer essential - versatile, comfortable, timeless."", "italic"=>true}]}]}

A Wardrobe That Travels

{"type"=>"root", "children"=>[{"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"For Leanne, style on the road comes down to one thing: pieces that move as fluidly as the day does - beach to town, lunch to aperitivo to evening drinks - without demanding a wardrobe change in between."}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"“I want pieces that can take me from the beach, to wandering around town, to lunch or even drinks in the evening without having to think too much about it.”", "italic"=>true}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"It's this adaptability that makes BeachCult second nature to pack. The prints carry personality; the silhouettes carry versatility - the same piece reworked a dozen ways, depending on where the day leads."}]}]}

Inspired by Italy

{"type"=>"root", "children"=>[{"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"The architecture, the fashion, the landscapes - all of it left an impression. But it was the people Leanne met along the way who stayed with her longest: their stories, their perspectives, glimpses into lives entirely outside her own."}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>""There's something incredibly grounding about stepping outside your own world for a moment and seeing life through somebody else's eyes."", "italic"=>true}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"It's the instinct that shapes how she travels - not chasing every sight, but finding somewhere beautiful, settling in, and letting the day unfold."}]}]}

Your Favourite BeachCult Piece

A Collector of Moments

{"type"=>"root", "children"=>[{"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"Ask Leanne who she becomes when she travels and the answer is simple: all of the above. A barefoot explorer. A sunset chaser. A gallery girl. A market wanderer."}]}, {"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"“Depending on the day, I can be barefoot on a boat, chasing a sunset, wandering through a gallery or disappearing down a little street because I spotted a market I hadn’t planned on finding.”", "italic"=>true}]}]}
