ORDERING & PRE-ORDERS

How do pre-orders work? Pre-orders allow you to secure a piece from our upcoming collections before they sell out. When you place a pre-order, your payment is processed immediately and your piece is crafted especially for you by our Cape Town atelier. Estimated dispatch dates are listed on each pre-order product page. We'll send you a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order is on its way.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it? Because each piece is made to order, we're unable to cancel or modify orders once they've been placed. If you have an urgent query, please contact us at hello@beachcult.co.za as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help.

Can I combine a pre-order item with a ready-to-ship item in one order? If your order contains both pre-order and ready-to-ship items, your entire order will be held and dispatched together once the pre-order item is ready. If you'd like your ready-to-ship items sooner, we recommend placing two separate orders.

What currency will I be charged in? All orders are processed in South African Rand (ZAR). If you're ordering internationally, your bank will convert at their current exchange rate. You can use a currency converter on our site to get an approximate idea of the cost in your currency.


SIZING & FIT

How do I know which size to order? We recommend consulting the size guide ( https://beachcult.co.za/search?q=sizing+chart ). If you're between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit. Still unsure? Email us at hello@beachcult.co.za before placing your order — we're happy to help you find your perfect fit and advise based on your measurements.

Do your styles run true to size? Most of our styles run true to size, but some styles are designed with a more fitted or relaxed silhouette. We note this on individual product pages where relevant. When in doubt, reach out — we know our pieces inside out and can guide you.

Can I try pieces on before buying? Yes! If you're based in Cape Town, you're welcome to visit us at the V&A Waterfront to try on styles in person before purchasing. Check our contact page for current store hours.


SHIPPING & DELIVERY

How long will my order take to arrive? Ready-to-ship orders are typically dispatched within 2–4 business days. Pre-order timelines are listed on each product page. Pre Orders are made in approximately 4-6 weeks. Consult each pre orders product description for more info on delivery dates.   Once dispatched, delivery times are as follows:

  • South Africa: 2–5 business days
  • International: 7–21 business days depending on destination and customs

Do you ship internationally? Yes, we ship worldwide! International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight.

How much does shipping cost? We offer free shipping on all South African orders over R2,500. For orders under R2,500 and all international orders, shipping costs are calculated at checkout. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes charged by their country.

Will I have to pay customs duties on my international order? International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees charged by your country's customs authority. These charges are not included in your order total and are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking your country's import regulations before ordering. BeachCult is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.

Can I track my order? Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. You can use this to follow your parcel's journey.

What if my order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe? Please email us at hello@beachcult.co.za with your order number and we'll investigate with our courier partner straight away.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

What is your returns policy? Because our swimwear is crafted to order using luxury recycled fabrics, all swimwear and accessory sales are final. We're unable to accept returns or exchanges on these items for hygiene reasons. We strongly encourage you to consult our size guide and reach out to us before purchasing if you have any sizing questions — we'd much rather help you get it right first time.

Do you accept exchanges on non-swimwear items? Yes — apparel items such as dresses, pants, and cover-ups may be exchanged within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags attached. Please email hello@beachcult.co.za to initiate an exchange.

What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect? We're so sorry if this happens. Please email hello@beachcult.co.za within 48 hours of receiving your order with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll make it right.


OUR PIECES

What materials do you use? We use premium recycled fabrics wherever possible, including ECONYL® regenerated nylon — made from reclaimed ocean waste and industrial nylon, Natural Linen, Lenzing Ecovero®, Tencel and other fabrics - our pieces are designed to be worn, loved, and kept for years, not seasons.

How should I care for my BeachCult pieces? To keep your pieces looking beautiful:

  • Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent
  • Do not tumble dry — lay flat to dry in the shade
  • Avoid contact with sunscreen, oils, and rough surfaces where possible
  • Do not iron or dry clean

Where are your pieces made? Every BeachCult piece is designed and crafted in Cape Town, South Africa, by our small team of skilled artisans. We're proudly independent and made-to-order, which means less waste and more intention in every piece.
