Paris Through Our Eyes: BeachCult’s City Escape

After a whirlwind week soaking up the magic of Paris, we’re home and ready to reflect on this special occasion. 

While we came for Splash Paris, a major trade show for luxury resort and swimwear, it was all the moments in between that truly made the trip one to remember.

Where We Wandered

Paris is a city best discovered on foot, and we spent most of our days wandering through the beautiful 8th arrondissement. This area feels like the perfect mix of Parisian elegance and everyday charm, with its grand boulevards, chic boutiques, and hidden cafés. 

We’d start our mornings with a stroll, grabbing an espresso from a local café before diving into the day. The tree-lined streets and historic architecture made it the ideal backdrop for our time in the city, and it’s where we truly felt the Parisian vibe come to life.

Evenings were a little slower—but simply wandering the streets in search of the best Espresso Martini became our favourite ritual. There’s nothing quite like watching the sun dip behind the city’s rooftops, with the Eiffel Tower just a glance away.

Where We Ate

Paris is known for its food, and we made it our mission to sample as much as possible. Our first stop was Frenchie, a cosy spot where we indulged in delicious French dishes that were almost too good to share. Then there was Terra bar à vins, which became our go-to for unwinding over natural wines and the kind of small plates that keep you ordering ‘just one more.’

We stumbled across Le Jacobine one night in the Latin Quarter—it felt like stepping into a local’s living room, with hearty, comforting French classics. La Verre Volé was another favourite for its laid-back vibe, perfect for a glass of wine and some seriously good cheese. And on our last night, we found ourselves at La Marine, tucked along the canal with the perfect mix of good views and even better food.

Our Parisian Stay

We found our home at Hotel Hoxton, a stylish spot with plenty of charm. Located in the 2nd arrondissement, it gave us easy access to everything we wanted to explore. The hotel itself had a laid-back, cool vibe—perfect for relaxing after long days at Splash. 

We also spent some time in the lovely 8th arrondissement, an area that combined Parisian elegance with a quieter, local feel.

Paris Meets BeachCult

While we spent plenty of time soaking in the city, this trip also marked an exciting step for BeachCult in Europe. Splash Paris gave us the chance to introduce our latest collections to a new audience, and it’s clear the BeachCult spirit—bold, free, and adventurous—fits right in here.

But beyond the business, this was about experiencing Paris in our own way. The streets, the food, the gardens—they all served as a reminder of why we love what we do. 

Whether by the beaches of Cape Town or the boulevards of Paris, BeachCult is about embracing life’s adventures, wherever they take us.

What We Took Away

Paris left us feeling inspired, recharged, and even more excited for what’s next. It reminded us that fashion, travel, and connection go hand in hand. And as we reflect on our time in this incredible city, we’re already looking forward to the next adventure.
